Measures can be local or global. Global measures are promoted to the Measures section within the Contents panel for great visibility. Local measures remain unpromoted and can be found under their home table.
Local measures are typically used within one table and not expected to be reused in additional tables. Local measures are available if needed under their home table in the Tables section of the Contents panel.
Global measures are used in two or more tables. Promotion to the Measures section is automatic (the Local Measure checkbox under the measure format will update immediately for the new status). Unchecking the Local Measure checkbox will promote the measure manually.
